Habakkuk 1:6-10

6 “For behold, I am ^araising up the Chaldeans,
That ^{▼▼ Lit bitter}fierce and impetuous people
Who march ^{▼▼ Lit the breadth of}throughout the earth
To ^{▼▼ Lit take possession of
,} ^eseize dwelling places which are not theirs.
7 “They are dreaded and ^ffeared;
Their ^gjustice and ^{▼▼ Lit eminence}authority ^{▼▼ Lit proceeds from}originate with themselves.
8 “Their ^jhorses are swifter than leopards
And ^{▼▼ Or more eager to attack}keener than ^lwolves in the evening.
Their ^{▼▼ Or steeds paw the ground}horsemen come galloping,
Their horsemen come from afar;
They fly like an ⁿeagle swooping down to devour.
9 “All of them come for violence.
^{▼▼ Or The eagerness of their faces}Their horde of ^pfaces moves forward.
They collect captives like sand.
10 “They ^qmock at kings
And rulers are a laughing matter to them.
They ^rlaugh at every fortress
And ^sheap up rubble to capture it.
